The picturesque town of Turgutreis is cuddled by tree-clad mountains on one side and kissed by glorious aquamarine seas on the other. Bodrum Festival; July-August: If that whets your appetite for classical music, or you missed the concerts in Turgutreis, head to Bodrum (it's a 25-minute journey by road) to catch the evening performances by the stunning castle. 

Aegean Festival; August: Bodrum marina is the setting for this feast of traditional music, dance and song, where hungry bellies are satisfied by platters of tasty Turkish fare.
